I was told it’s a 50’s vintage pocket watch convert. Anybody know anything about it?

 

Looks like a Ukraine job from 2018. Custom case, dial, hands and old pocket watch movement. Do you have a photo of the movement?

 

Hello, and welcome to the forum. You have what is known as a marriage watch, where an old pocket watch is placed in a shiny new case and given a fantasy dial, new hands and converted into a wristwatch. Search on the interwebs for "marriage watch" to see other examples. Some folks like these fantasy watches (and there is an entire cottage industry that produces them) but on a watch collectors forum such as this one, these pieces are not held in high regard.

 

Worth as much as the next guy will pay for it.

 

I purchased it for my wedding last week so maybe it was fateful
