Any info on this "Princeton" watch?

Been a member here for a while and have started commenting more on threads but this is my first thread.

I received this watch from my father-in-law after he found out I was into old watches. He couldn't really provide me with any info on it and I can't seem to find much online other than people selling a similar looking one or others posting looking for info like this one: https://www.reddit.com/r/Watches/comments/e0pqgc/identify_found_this_princeton_watch_while_going/

I doubt its worth anything but it would be nice to know some things about it. Also, I don't get why the numbers on the bezel seem to be going in reverse. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!

Probably a countdown bezel. pretty cool piece. We need an epic lume shot to better evaluate this.
One hour timer, highly visible in the dark...ahem, what can it be useful for 馃榾

these skin divers were very popular in the late 60鈥檚- lots of names on the dials but the designs, cases and movement were all from the same spec books.
Movement is most likely an FHF or Felsa- easy to service and parts watches are abundant. The Vantage (Hamilton) divers are very similar.

I have a small collection of these kinds of skin divers and love them

Oh, and yours is in excellent shape. Most of them have water damaged dials and lume. I would take it off the stretchy bracelet and put it on a nice steap. The lugs are most likely 19mm and the Uncle Seiko Tropic straps work beautifully on these.

That's a good-looking example and photos of the back and inside my yield more info. These ranged from true skin-divers (which are in stainless cases with decent depth ratings) to diver-style watches in plated cases that were barely water resistant. The former are currently enjoying a surge in popularity.

You good sir are a legend. Thanks for the info. Honestly didn't know these were a thing. Never found it that attractive because the numerals and hands are greenish but I agree it appears to be in good shape. Knowing my father in law it was probably rarely worn and never serviced.

That is definitely a Greek name. This picture is actually pretty old. 8 years or so. Maybe one day I will update.

Very nice watch. Love the design of the old skin divers. Many brands made these. Glash眉tte Original revived the design in 2019.

Just got home and snapped a couple of shots for everyone. There is a nic on the crystal but the case appears really sharp. Tried to get the lume shot but I can鈥檛 get phone to focus. Hands glow brighter than markers. Put it on a different strap and snapped a wrist shot too. Let me know what you guys think

That鈥檚 a nice one and looks all stainless. They came in green or yellow lume, sometimes a combo (hands different than dial). The cost of service tends to be about what they are worth (around $2-300), but they are great fun to wear and obviously- incredibly readable

Looks great - as another member mentioned, Full SS case skin divers from vintage Era are hard to find. Two of my vintage skin divers are in nice conditions, but chrome played and polished.

They are actually getting harder to find- at least in very good+ condition for not silly money. I think the days of bargains on these kinds of watches is past us- you get the errant diamond in the rough, but for the most part people have realized the value these style divers offer- Stainless case, fun and sometimes whimsical dial designs, well built workhorse Swiss movements, and super comfortable to wear- what鈥檚 not to love.
