I recently received this Omega- I don't know a great deal about it and would really appreciate any information on it. Not sure what the letter on the back stand for.

    Thanks in advance image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg

Vintage forum is the appropriate spot for this.

Serial number puts it right before or during WWII

Caseback is either military markings or someone that's faking them to increase resale. A military expert should be along shortly.

Should probably combine the two threads on the same watch.

It's a perfectly genuine Omega WWII RAF watch, 1943 issue.
Dial is entirely correct. Caliber 30T2SC, no incabloc.
Markings mean: "A.M" = "Air Ministry"
6B/159 = Ministry of Defence specifications for navigation watches (chronometer requirement).
    9064/43 = issued in 1943, serial number 9064.
    Crown is correct.
Seconds hand is a replacement, should have an oval counterpoise.
A more serious issue is that the lugs were shortened, which happened frequently because they were long and notoriously fragile on those models.
Also, one of the fixed bars was removed and replaced with a spring bar.
Still a nice and pretty cool watch to get, congrats.

Not that I'd sell it but any idea of value?

With the issues that have been identified I wouldn't be able to say these days.

    Edit/ add, others might have a better idea, @LarryG @watchyouwant @Alpha.
