Another day heard a song from the Need for Speed III game...

So, the last time I played NFS racing games, was almost 20 years ago.
I still remember the Need for Speed 1994 which was my first. I also loved the Porsche Unleashed. This was in the 90s 😀 My serious gaming (where you spend hours a day) was in the early 2000s in college. Racing games mostly.

Anyway, checked out what's what today and looks like they haven't updated the series for 8 years.
I bought the latest one and installed it on my Windows laptop and it felt nice...
Modified Nissan Skyline in the game. Funnily I own now a modified Skyline R33 myself IRL.

I’ve been a gamer for many years. I was a kid in the 70s, and we’d go to the 7-11 convenience store to play games like Asteroids and Space Invaders. We eventually got a television based system at home called Intelevision. We progressed to Nintendo when I was in college. I’ve owned every variant of the PlayStation since it launched. I currently own a PS5 which I use to play games with my adult sons. The game that has occupied most of my gaming time over the last couple of years is Formula 1. We’re in a Formula 1 ‘22 league now, and I can tell you that once you start getting into sim racing, it’s a deep rabbit hole. You can spend as much money as you’d like. There is always something to buy…

Here’s a pic of my current setup:

Lol so much of that is me... and not. I was a kid in the 70s ha the Atari 2600 (Space Invader, Asteroid...) as well as playing em in the arcades as well as defender and other classics of the day, was late 70s mind you. Also had the intellivision and many other consoles - megadrive... Sonic magic 😜 Been through so many computers of the early 80s... Vic20, C64, Acorn Atom, BBC B, Oric1, ZX81, Spectrum to name a few. My first home computer was little more than a board with a keyboard - uk101.. over the years migrated to various pc generations, spend over 1/2 a decade playing various versions of Asherons Call, the obligatory WoW for a while, 10+ years playing Eve Online... all this was for my gaming lust lol 😜

I play a nearly 20 year old game called EveOnline. Its a scifi starship game by a company called CCP from Iceland that has a huge community built up around it. Its all about player alliances, intelligence, spying, and blowing up ships that cost upwards of thousands of dollars. I went to Eve Vegas last year and had dinner with the leader of another alliance who wears a vintage Longines. I also saw a couple Rolexes at this year's fanfest in Iceland. If you are a watch nerd and play Eve and are in nullsec, feel free to send me a PM.

Was playing it till about 18 months ago. Was a long run, likely close to 15 years and took quite a toll on me lol. When i left i had 2-3 titans (one was in build... very much lost i'm sure), a few supers etc.

Afaik my assets are lost - stuck in nullspace, would have been in long dead keepstars and manufacturing stations. Good in a way as it lets me avoid the draw back...

I'll add you, but I suspect our in-game paths will rarely cross as I am six hours ahead of you. We'll see though!

What do you play on? Console or PC and with controller or K&M?

PC but with an XBox Elite controller

Not sure if this makes me a gamer but I spend a few hours in it most days.

what rig/frame are you using? Tried building a setup last winter (was gonna be my winter project) but got scammed on the rig. By the time I got my money back winter was half over. I'd like to get into Assetto more.

it's my phone ever since the last android update last week. Happens in all forums and only when replying. If I go back and edit out the gaps they double in size haha.

You sound like me. I played eve for about 4 or 5 years and burned out quickly. I did a lot of SWTOR before this with the guild I'm in OTG - the old timers guild. These days it's mostly just 3ps shooters/adventure games and the occasional borderlands run.

Same, no titans, but black ops and other stealthy stuff.

Off with a recent knee operation….few weeks on the couch…So… Tossing up between “Ghost of Tsushima” or “The Last of Us Part II” again….

Still PlayStation 4 so not after anything new until something makes buying a PS5 worthwhile

TLOU Part II Multiplayer will be the reason for me

I'm in my late 20s so I suppose it may not be a surprise that I play video games. I started off with SEGA collections on CDs, then got introduced to Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and San Andreas. I briefly played some games with a Playstation Portable. Then Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and its sequel Modern Warfare 2 took a chunk of my life. I fully jumped to the Battlefield train with BF3 until the end of BFV. I used to play a lot of DotA 2 during high school and throughout college. Nowadays I spend my time working, casually playing Final Fantasy XIV, and occasionally story-driven RPG games here 😁 :

That is quite the set up 🥰

Thank you, yeah the setup starting 'building' or accumulating itself over time when the whole WFH COVID started happening. Not dissimilar to how some of us may look at our watch collections and think "well, it just kind of happened gradually" 😁

It's made by a company in Miami called Ricmotech. Its has lateral motion to simulate side to side and the seatbelts also tighten and loosen to simulate acceleration, braking and cornering.

Used to run black-ops in Aridia lowsec back when you could light a stealthy cyno next to a mining op with relative ease. Those orcas were a lol, we'd then jump in something large to collect the ores, most likely bridging a freigher or if we were bold a jf.

You probably killed me during early mining ops. We were always getting beaten up by insta-returning blops before they nerfed them away.

Would have been around a system called Arzi, or nearby. I too once lived there as a miner/mission runner... before I swapped to the dark side lol. Even had a small tower at one point pulling one of the gasses.

Of course, imo fallout is the best on earth unless someone has any other better recommendations
