unexpected but in hindsight makes total sense.
If not mistaken, I think it has been rumoured for quite some months in the gamer community 😀

Car racing mainly, and only on consoles. I have an Xbox that I use as my streaming device etc.

Every couple years though I'll get sucked into a shooter of some sort, but I don't like the reflex-based Halo or Call of Duty stuff. I'm more interested in realism and tactics. Currently wasting a ton of time on Insurgency Sandstorm.
Yes, I remember playing Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon back in the early 2000s and really liking it because it was a bit more cerebral and tactical in nature compared to COD, even though it was a FPS. You could command a squad of SF soldiers.

If you recognize my avatar/user name, you might guess that I'm an old-school gamer and you'd be right. I'm reluctantly in my mid-50s and have had almost every console or portable system from Nintendo, Sony, Xbox. Usually go for action/adventure, racing, puzzle games with Goldeneye, Zelda, Tomb Raider, Uncharted being some of my favorites. Currently playing Spiderman Miles Morales on PS5. Good job with the fun topic - thanks for posting it.

Congratulations to @TheGreekPhysique for starting a thread on the last subject on Earth that still was yet to be covered on OmegaForums 😁

It may not seem that this post is relevant to Omega watches, but there has been at least one Omega watch in a video game (sorta). 🙄

No one I knew on the inside had any clue... So someone speculated correctly...

I've been working my way through all the Souls games in eager anticipation of Elden Ring 😀. Finished Demon Souls remastered, then DS1 and now going through DS2: Scholar of the First Sin. So much fun, I'd wanted to play them for a while but kept punting for other hobbies and finally bit the bullet.

And while I'm at it I've been doing a second pass of other old RPGs! Mass Effect, and so on.

Of course I still squeeze in the occasional game of DotA and CS every now and then!

Hoping to build a mid-level gaming desktop for my son in the next 3 weeks, but the graphics card issue is disheartening. And prebuilt pricing is pretty silly right now as well. Seems like a $500 or so premium these days due to shortages and scalpers.

Join a discord group with restock alerts and you'll probably get one at retail in a few weeks with a little persistence! Never pay scalper prices.

I already bit the bullet and I spec'd/ ordered a custom build last night. I need it in-hand in a little over 3 weeks. I'll make up for it by repairing a couple leaking faucets instead of calling a plumber to deal with them. 😁

I didn't realize what a bunch of youngsters you all are.

My first video game involved a phone modem (where the receiver went into the cups) and the school district computer. And that was high school.

Playing in earnest since the Commodore 64, migrated to consoles around PS3 - currently rocking a PS5.

I tend to engage in spurts - a week or so of intensive playing, followed by a month or two of idleness. Tried Guardians of the Galaxy, and Far Cry 6 recently, but both bored me within a couple of hours. Elden Ring likely/hopefully will be my next deep dive.

Well, Destiny had a contract with Activision until a couple of years ago, and obviously had a lot of influence on Destiny seasons and becoming money driven with all the in-game sales etc...you know, important gamer drama 😀

Activision have always been well discussed in Destiny community as the Evil empire etc. So, I think that's where I heard those rumours

Geek rather than young... I had an Atari when I was 8, had a Ninja game on floppy disk played in my beast pc at the time with a whopping 1mb of ram, and completed the first Prince of Persia 😀

Great thread 😀..
I grew up playing video games starting with Nintendo 8 bit then 16swithed to Playstation 1-4 and of course PC.
Spend my entire university time shooting Counter Strike. So many sleepless nights that I barely remember what I studied.

Now it's just down to occasionally playing FIFA 21 on Stadia and Mario Cart on Nintendo Switch with my kids 😀
