With the archives closed presently, I was wondering if anyone has an extract close to my serial?. Of course I'm familiar with the usual data resources which suggests 2 or 3 possibilities but if movements were 'batched' this may give a better likelihood to its grouping. (for now).

That shows how out of sync the Speedmaster serials are from other Omega production, my Ed White is on 22.82m but dated after your Connie at 6/4/66. Speedmaster serials jump a lot during this period and there are holes. Ever seen a 23m Speedmaster? When using comp extract dates, you need to be sure you are using a comparable model really. The OP hasn’t said what watch he is referring to. The ILMS data is very useful but can’t be fully relied on for a non Speedmaster model as there are discrepancies with the other models.

I have just noticed your other thread about how you have a Franken Speedy with this serial and can't currently get an extract. I can understand why you are keen to see what model your 321 started life in but don't forget it is possible it wasn't in a Speedy at all, I believe there were other models, Deville and Seamaster for instance that used 321s in the mid to late '60s and there is a chance that yours is from one of those. If it is from a Speedy, then going from William's tables on SP101, it is likely from either an Ed White -65, a 105.012-65 or even a 145.012-67 (but weirdly not the 105.012-66). Your serial is in range for all 3 of those models.

Absolutely spot on. Thank you for your input.
So really until the archives reopen, I'm dead in the water!. I'm really only trying to establish which way to head with this 'franken'. The watch was on ebay but typically 'no bids' (on starting price) etc due to the lack of info in the description. I'm sure non of us would have really entertained it but only being 40 miles away, I contacted the seller, listened to the story (often to be taken with a pinch of salt) and decided to view. Armed with MWO and William's site pre loaded managed to bore him to death with the rantings of a pedantic Speedmaster collector!. I believe the chap was genuinely taking on board the facts or indeed had simply lost the will to live. However a deal was struck and 'here I am'!.
I know the pushers and crown have been typically replaced and the strap is not correct. I can't use a serial correct (2052*) '63 movement as the dial 'T's would be wrong. As far as I know a '64 or '65 movement with the correct case back would be OK, (hence this thread hoping my movement turns out to be a 105.003-65) bar possible very slight case anomalies for a '65.
Here's a reminder of the offending article and thanks everyone for all the help so far...much appreciated. And as a respected member on here reminded me....'You can still wear the hell out of it'!....perfect. IMG_8082.JPG
