Any digitized catalogues?

Hey I’ve been trying to basically zero success to find any kind of archive of vintage factory offered Omega dials for different references or even in categorized any which way. Would a catalogue exist from Omega themselves which would include a listing of every available dial for a said reference they offered at the time? Or how did customers know all the options to choose from when no single store could have carried them all at once. Wouldn’t an organized dial database be excellent!

No.

Or how did customers know all the options to choose from when no single store could have carried them all at once.
They didn’t. They knew what they saw in the store. In the case of very high end stores, some salespeople may have known how to special order.

It would, except that even Omega doesn’t know all the dial variants for a particular reference.

In fact, reference numbers for the same watch would be different in different countries. What you see from Omega today are based on the original Swiss references and catalogs.

There are scanned images of old catalogs at old-omegas.com. I have found them very helpful.
