ebay is a minefield for Cartier evidently. In 20 minutes of searching I’ve found 1/2 dozen listings admitting the item is a fake. Anyway. I want to buy the wife a Cartier ring. Since I’m a cheap bastard I don’t really want to pay retail and have been looking at ebay listings. You can usually spot the fakes easily as the price is 1/10 what should be and the seller as like 0-1 feedback. However this listing seems legit. Good price but not crazy. Lots of feedback and the seller seems to be an established pawn shop New Mexico. Anyone have any expertise? https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https://www.ebay.com/ulk/itm/142594294793
Get them to tell you the weight, then consider making an offer based on scrap value, would be my suggestion.
I'm probably opening a door I shouldn't but you did see that this ring is size 11, yesiree? Otherwise your instincts are correct including the fact that pawn shops almost never F around...
Please note that due to its design, that particular ring may not be sizeable. There are several of that style that are on ebay at competitive prices in different sizes HTH
