Any antique experts care to have a look at this?

Once examined a Jade chess set that was sent from Vietnam to an acquaintance .
The opaque pieces representing white, the darker jade, not sure now if it was green , representing the black.
I'm sure it was a tourist trade item but very nicely hand carved.
The board was exceptionally well made, inlaid with Ivory.

As for movie sites, I live not far from the site of the first "Evil Dead" movie. The cabin burned down not long after the first film, the sequel was filmed in an exact replica.
The old fire place was still standing when I visited the place about 20 years ago.
When I was a youngster there were still many Antebellum mansions still standing long abandoned within a few miles of my home. Some very creepy old buildings to say the least.

The house has a small share of antiquities and not least among them is the piece pictured below. 42 cm high not including the base (and with Speedy Reduced for scale). It appears to be a single piece of jade (to my untrained eye). Anyone care to cast a cold eye? Origins, age, value etc. I've always been curious, but know absolutely nothing about it.
Any markings on the base or underside? I would think that only an expert with many years of experience could ID date & artist this without markings, but I agree with the Guan yin/Quan yin ID (Goddess of Mercy), instead of Geisha, and Chinese, not Japanese
