How come you can see the SWISS MADE so clear on this? I mean, mine from 1961 it's so low you can hardly read it. https://catalog.antiquorum.swiss/en/lots/omega-ref-2998-62-speedmaster-lot-316-206?page=1&q=omega
I have seen (too?) many Racing dials with this hand layout - The one on the right after an Omega (Bienne) service.
The fading of the orange is far too different in the auction watch between hands and dial to be original. I too have seen a lot of these with mark ii hands
The -61, shame about the state of it. I guess the price (just shy of $12k usd) is what the case, dial and movement are worth. Here's the fat arrow that went cheap. I want one of these too dammit! Around $1435 usd, about half what they usually go for . Ed White for $9.5k usd? Is that a service dial? Nice bezel anyway, and case looks good from the pics.
That's indeed a service dial with short indices, the rest looks pretty ok even if it does not seem very attractive especially without having the original dial on it... I wouldn't have buy this one Agreed, that's a Dirty Dozen with a strange crown...
Alright then . I totally defer as I haven't been looking for long... and now I don't feel so bad for missing out .
Never feel bad for missing out Haha well these likely may come around again given how crazy the Speedy market’s become .... that [bubble] grows... Bubble, market, opportunity, shame, or whatever it is one’s experienced opinion suggests
I try to forget I just bought a watch as soon as the payment clears to the seller. Sometimes it works even!
