my quest for a decent 168.017 continues - purchasing one is imminent. will be my first Omega/vintage watch - excited to become a member of the community!

found this on the depths of overseas online-auctions. Dial/hands/hours are what im looking for. I was wondering if anybody had anything to say about it? no photos of the movement as of yet. weird seem/opening at 6 o'clock - not sure what it is.....

Looks like a crack in the bezel.
No T's, but lume on hands and dial, somethings not right... ::screwloose::

I think the earlier 168.017 models had only 'swiss made' printed as well as lume on the hands and dials if i'm not mistaken.

crack right through the bezel - damn hope not. hoping its a reflection.

I think the crack is just the tension ring and is the reflection on the crystal. Overall it looks pretty nice.

can anyone with a 168.017 or with first hand experience with the 168.017 model confirm that there is a split in the retention ring in this position? After inspecting many photographs I can't find another example with a split like the example above...

There shouldn't be a split, but as someone said, might just be a reflection.
You'll need better pictures from the seller to find out.. Preferably a straight on dial shot, high resolution.

    I think it looks nice.

Tension ring split between 7 and 8 o’clock.

I’m wearing the Omega 1040 “bricks” bracelet right now and I really love it! I tried like hell to find another one for a C-case Connie and it was a struggle ...no endlinks at the moment. For that reason alone, I’d go after this one!
