Another Speedmaster moon phase white gold. Madness!

Happy holidays to all.
I wanted to share with the community my latest “lucid” madness:
I traded in a watch to get… the same watch!!!
I didn’t think it would get this far, obviously I was wrong.
Unfortunately this passion pushes us to do wicked and apparently senseless actions (I say “apparently” because if a purchase ultimately provokes emotion it means that there is a sense).
Yes, it is a model that I adore:
The Speed moon phase in white gold 36893000, produced since 1999 for the 30th anniversary of Apollo XI in only 285 pieces.
When I saw the same model for sale, but in new condition, with a recently activated warranty, I couldn’t resist.
The condition of the lugs (without the classic signs caused by the repeated replacement of the strap over time), the holes in the strap, the seal on the case back (which shows that the watch has practically never been opened), the general conditions, the films, the tag, are all rather unequivocal clues:
It is almost certainly a warehouse stock.
The set is super complete (even a plastic bag with the indication of the caliber and the PIC).
Obviously I had to pay a difference (all in all acceptable).
Even though I am aware of the absurdity of the operation, the satisfaction is at the highest levels.
How many of them exist in the world in this state?
Obviously, for the moment, I will limit myself to a "contemplative" use, for the future who knows... I don't know how long I will be able to resist.
Some photos.

How lucky, congrats. So you got 5 years warranty on it?

Wow, stunning and a great find. Out of interest, what date is on the warranty card?

Of course! I called the Omega Italy call center and they confirmed that even on a discontinued watch the date (last summer) and the dealer's stamp on the guarantee are valid.

Very nice pickup, you normally won't find a truly new, unworn 20 to 25 year old watch. The Cal 1866 models with moon and date are too often overlooked, imo. I have a modified 3575.20 in steel with blue baton hands (from the WG model), Gemini IV blue insert bezel and sapphire caseback. It's all good.

With the OP's watch 20 to 25 years old it's going to need a service sooner rather than later. Unless it was serviced prior to sale the watch will be bone dry and will need attention.

Congratulations on a very special watch. It doesn't get much better than this.

Enjoy,

This is my 35752000 with Rubber strap and Deplo Omega.

I hope you have kept the BA hands, which I consider beautiful, characteristic of this reference.

As for my new purchase, the seal on the case back shows that the watch has never been opened.

For this reason, I will not do the service at the moment.

Also because if I did the official service under warranty I fear the replacement with supplied components.

I will evaluate in the future.

I discovered I have a general dislike for Broad Arrow hands and an all white metal bezel. I still have the original hands, solid back and wg bezel which will go with any future sale of the watch, but I'll never use them. I sold my Trilogy Speedmaster earlier this year because I just didn't like the BA hands or steel bezel even though that was the historical configuration. Collecting is very personal.

The important thing is to have all the original spare parts.

However I agree with you the moon phases 357520 and 30 are the most undervalued Watches ever.

For me they are beautiful!
