If you're reading this, I'm probably preaching to the converted, but I thought I post a new pick up: Seiko SRP315, aka the "Monster".
I wanted a summer beater to cover hiking, working out, pool, yard work etc. So for a real world price from Amazon of USD $160 to the door, you get 200m water resistance with screw down crown, PVD bezel, fantastic lume, very wearable 42mm case with drilled lug holes housing the more recent 4R36 with hacking and hand winding. I was guided by function before fashion, however in real life the SRP315 is more subdued than the pics would suggest. Of course there are several variants, including black dial/stainless bezel & bracelet, if the orange dial/PVD combo is not to your liking.

Lol yeah. I'm surprised how good that watch looks. Pictures do not do it justice, I was surprised by the finishing and quality of the dial. The Amazon pictures do not do it justice. Oddly that watch has one of the largest lug to lug lengths I've seen. It's as long as my PO chrono and dwarfs my speedy and skx. Still great proportions and works on her small wrists, next step is a good strap for her. If I get another Seiko it will be a 55 Fathoms mod.

I'm thinking they're called "monster teeth markers". But I never saw them that way before. Sinister!

Same here I never noticed the "teeth" before I always thought it was the size that gave it its name.
