This Rolex Milsub was auctioned yesterday in my country and it fetched $100K. I did not join the bidding upon the advise of an expert in Rolex milsub watches.

I was told there was an issue with the hands, and the insert is a fake.
Makes you wonder about the authenticity of everything else.

OP was wise not to join in. I see issues with the hands, bezel and DIAL.

 

Buying vintage watch really is a minefield .... better learn and acquire knowledge than to pay and weep afterwards. Or another alternative, buy re-issues.

 

I agree with chows99. When you are contemplating spending six figures for anything, best to have authentication by an unaffiliated expert.
