I watched it the other night on Netflix. Nicely done piece and a few Speedies can be spotted

 

I've seen that one as well, I was watching it the other night(Gene was still alive).

 

Hope I'm as smart and vital when I reach his Age, what a cool, sophisticated guy he was.

@mr_yossarian great recommendation. The series is probably some of the best stuff out there to watch. The Apollo capsule, Lunar Module, and the Rover episodes are exceptionally well done and fantastic. I could watch them over and over.

 

Absolutely. The usual thinking starts when the Saturn 5 lifts off, but the way to get there was insane and started with way more problems than solutions. Engineering and! erecting 3000 tons weight, having thousands of parts that need to function the same second to do so is absolutely impressiv.

 

Fantastic result especially as computers weren't round really for everyday tasks and organization.

 

I'm starting to think lack of computers is why they could accomplish as much as they did.

Watched 'Last man on the moon' and 'Mission control' over the weekend...and WOW...so so SOOOO good / informative / eye-opening...insane what they accomplished then and what was around to accomplish it.

'Error Code 1012' ... ... almost running outta fuel ... they sure did a helluva job.

PS: a pity there are no tributes to Apollo 1 ... this tragedy most certainly ensured the successes that followed...
