The bracelet to this was a generic 18K that I was actually looking at but it looks like it sold, (was BIN at ~$3500).
Judging by the shape of the lugs I am sure this example was designed to be worn on a leather strap and not a gold bracelet.
Yea the bracelet wasn't one of the fitted brick ones at all, it was a tube style end one that had a clasp that separates into a hook and bar, a more generic sort.
The seller also has a nice Speedy gold first watch in the moon........... sweet http://www.ebay.com/itm/RARE-OMEGA-...103715412?pt=Wristwatches&hash=item2582879c54Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
wish it had that lovely burgundy color insert. Looks like the bezel was replaced at some time or that insert was switched out. Also the lovely gold bracelet would have been nice as that part is very very very expensive.
I observed that many of the burgundy bezel insert is in worse condition compare to the black one on the same age. Do you think the material is different? Or just because black bezel insert is so common and easily replaced?
A correct burgundy would make all the difference on that watch, takes it down a significant peg in this instance.
i`ve tried that and it works well ! only a short time straight on the electro ceramic plate and bingo ! you can experiment with different shades in different time exposures..... rolex inserts have that quite often.... kind regards. achim
