With some sense of normalcy coming back after the covid pandemic put a complete stop to our daily routine, I called some of my favorite watch dealers for new finds. One offered me this very clean and unmolested 1978 Rolex GMT 1675 with mk6 dial and black bezel insert. We struck a deal and the watch was delivered to my door step just a few days ago. The condition is very good from the case, dial and single clasp oyster bracelet. Serial is in the 5.6m range and i understand that the black bezel GMT came out towards the end of the 1675 production. A great addition tonmy watch collection.

I just found and posted on IG and black inserts, which may have come on GMTs much earlier than previously thought.

Though yours is correct as a normal 1970s black insert.

What a beauty, and an uncommon dial....the last of the 1675's

Wear it in good health.

well done black bezel is underrated

Indeed it is. More classy than its pepsi, coke or rootbeer siblings in my opinion.
