Still very new to this but have started to keep on eye on 'the bay' and also on the threads here dedicated to watches found there. I can't recall if I found this one through a thread or on my own hunting so I'm looking to get some thoughts from you experts - the watch seems to be in pretty good condition but not so good that it screams too much work. What's the condition appear to be to you guys? What's the average closing price for pieces like this? How often do they show up? Overall, is it a recommended piece for a beginner's collection (right now that collection is only 1 watch - a 312 145.012 speedy)? I like the look of the watch a lot and think it would look sharp as a dressier alternative to my Speedmaster.

    Thanks in advance!

    Redial. Pass.

There are too many of these in nice original condition to waste money on this example.

If you don't mind me asking, what specifically on this piece was the give away? I was trying to compare the font to an original but also don't know the best place to find legitimate images or the originals - any websites you use in particular?
