Hello again! Another example that I am considering is this 168.024. I'd be very grateful for your feedback and insights. Thank you! ~Chris
Hmm--well, I'm not sure that I have many insights of my own, as I am pretty new at working with vintage watches altogether. But I'll venture what I think, based on my attempts to learn more (be kind): it seems to me that this is a very attractive example of a 168.024. The dial strikes me as very clean. The case shows some wear--but nothing out of the ordinary for a 50+ year old watch. Up close, some of the dings on the lugs look pronounced. I imagine that in daily wear, they wouldn't stand out. The owner says that the watch is likely due for a service, but that it runs very well now. I don't know how to assess the movement. For context (and this relates to your second question): I am looking for a 166.010 or 168.024 (on BOR bracelet) that I can wear as not so much a daily, but fairly regularly. Does anything pop out when you look at the watch? Thanks! Chris
I think it looks like a very nice watch. As you say, it’s over 50 years old nut I can see nothing that would put me off - depending on the price.
Thank you, Spruce. I appreciate your feedback. The seller is asking $1000 for this watch: does that sound ok? (and he has said that, while it will probably need a service soon, it is running very well.) Chris
