I was today years old when I realized they still made this watch. What an amazing looking watch!

Still loving mine and with strap/bracelet it can cover a lot of bases. Special as the first released to the master chronometer standard as well.

Anyone else besides the AD in Ann Arbor saying the Globemaster will be discontinued soon due to lack of sales? St.Louis boutique does not know anything about this. Thanks!

Since no one has put up a long(ish)-term ownership review of the Globemaster yet I thought I would have a go. It’s based on another post on OF in which I tried to highlight the main pros and cons of the GM with some additions here and there to fill a few gaps.

...

Thanks, Longbow, this was a such superb review!

I bought the GM with a white dial on a leather strap and I'm in love with it.

However, I find really, but really hard to remove the OEM leather strap. I have many watches in my collection, and the right tools, and never had such an issue with other watches!

But, probably because of the curved spring bar, it is not so easy.

Any suggestion from you is really appreciated!

Thanks for sharing 😀

I too struggled with removing the strap with my generic removal tool, so contacted Omega and they sent a removal tool which makes the job a lot easier. I did purchase my GM direct from Omega though.

Just over a year of ownership and loving it. Amazing accuracy! Stopped looking at other watches after purchasing this.
