Hi, I unsuccessfully tried to post this photo and it got lost in the shuffle after i succeeded, so I will attempt the post
again.

This was my dad's from the late 40s or early 50's for graduating high school.
Any insight would be appreciated, I have not been able to find it online.
The reverse has no markings it's just plain.
Thx

Welcome Bill
Hard to say much with just one photo
Take it to a watchmaker (not a jeweler) to have it opened and photograph movement and inside Caseback for all identifying info.
Practice a bit to get good focused photos of the front sides and back as well as insides
Post the new photos and we can tell you more!!

I stand to be corrected but, to me, it looks like the dial has been poorly repainted at some stage.
That won’t change anything about how you feel about your dad's watch but it will significantly reduce it’s value.

Oh, I don't care about the value as I would never sell it.
I was just wondering what it was.
I will get better pictures when I can
Thanks for the reply!
