That case is one of the strongest I've seen in a long time - well done!

What it must be like to open an old dusty drawer, you know one of those ones you have to jiggle a bit to get open due to years of moisture and sedation have made the antiquated drawer slides rough and coarse. Once open to the light of day the dial catches the afternoon sun, dust particles are floating in the air... And there it is, an Omega lost to the hands of time and now found. Begging to be strapped to a wrist for the world to see!

Thank you very much for all those nice comments....
The watches are now in good 'Hands' by my retired Omega specialist to change-out the new sets. I had 2 sets of them in my Drawer (no Drawer-find b.t.w. ;)). Don't know if they will match, but everything better than these Hands... next week I will place the new pictures of my Ed White's ...

    Have a nice weekend.

Your correct....and it was untouched, according this touching text ::shy::: '..when we were clearing out my Father's possessions, my Mother had a bag of bits to go in the bin. I took a look and found this watch, and after some research identified it as the Omega Speedmaster. ..' and '.. Since finding it, I got it serviced, and pulled the extract from the archives, and here we are, it's going to a good home. I hope you enjoy it, it's a lovely watch. ..'

It's entirely anonymous, so I don't think you need to feel badly about it. But if you're uncomfortable, you can go back and edit your post to replace the direct quotation with paraphrasing.

Remind me when I got my Ed White, the original owner' s son got the watch and it was in drawer for more than 30 years after one time service until the son decided to sell

Time travel man... just go back in time, convince your dad to buy an Ed White, then when he has bought it convince him to buy another watch so the Ed will go in the drawer. Voila...! You’re welcome!

..... Ed White is a wonderful watch but if this would be possible .. I would try to convince him to buy some other watches which were also to have for a bargain in those days :D
