    So no personal (verifiable) experience?

Just a regurgitation of stuff you saw.

Based on other prices you see in Australia, I don’t think his second hand prices are as outlandish as people make out. You can find them cheaper of course but with a bit more risk and he has bricks and mortar to pay for.

Add to that, whatever profit he makes for his business is being directed into a developing watch manufacturing industry, paying for extremely expensive machinery and accessories, paying young people who are learning skills. If I pay a few bucks over normal "on-line" prices then I consider it well spent, not getting ripped off.

Is there something going on over there?

    :whistling:

Only two days old and up to thirty pages already!

I suspect they have only scratched the top of the pimple.

Not easy to start a watch manufacturing business. Hard enough to buy the gear, design the product and get those pieces out the door, without critics and scammers of all stripes dragging you down. I wish Mr. Hacko well. He seems to be tough and determined to succeed. Good on him. Respect.

To forum members who follow our journey with interest: here is a first short video in mini series titled "Manufactured in Australia". In essence, even a single watch part goes to number of design and manufacturing steps - from CNC and manual milling, turning, EDM wire cutting, hobbing to hand polishing, decoration and anodizing. Our next video will be more detailed, following a birth of a single part from raw material to installed and tested watch component. Thank you for watching.
