First post, just wanted to say hello. Most of my life in HI, but now in the Bay Area.
Gotta apologize to the Omega fans. I never gave it much thought and even considered some Omegas as ugly. But I tried on a Speedy a few months back and I am now hooked. I need one to add to my collection.

I saw this one at a boutique. I grabbed this photo from a recently sold listing here on the forums.
This watch is hella stunning...but I can't spend this type of money again. I just bought a Sub late last year and told myself I would take a break. But then this. So next best thing I tried on was the Speedy Racer.
I think the Speedys are better than the Daytonas. My opinion.

I think the Speedys are better than the Daytonas. My opinion.

Aloha! I went the opposite way. Lived in SF Bay Area most of my life, moved to HI haha.
I agree the current Speedmaster lineup with METAS coaxial movements have more tech over a Daytona. The Apollo 8 you pointed out has a modified Moonwatch caliber 1869. Gorgeous show piece. But a different animal vs a Daytona. Which Speedy racing were you considering?

Sell the Sub, buy a used PO and buy the Apollo 8. Easy fixed 😉

Never selling the Sub. Before my dad passed, I found out he had some random Prudential account in my name that I didn't know about and just happened to have enough in there for a Sub. He was always into Rolex watches, and in fact had a 1980s President. I ended buying the Sub to commemorate his passing last August.
