If the link isn't working for you, it is probably because of ebay's idiotic policy of blocking items from overseas if the seller doesn't ship to your country. Try going to eBay.it and search for this item number: 281913553567
Never mind. Copy and paste brought it up, clicking the link didn't work... I think that's common for eBay Europe... Pretty cool!
"4,400 wristwatches of all the brands, from A to Z of Audemars Piguet to Zenith, including Bulova, Longines, Omega, Rolex, Swatch etc. including the entire furniture in local superprotetto and armored. All like new mostly with boxes, straps, buckles and guarantees original and fully functional. It not sold for profit but only to those who agree to preserve and maintain the identity of the condition of sale is reduced to only pay VAT on the sales invoice. An accurate catalog or visits by appointment at the Museum on request, provide personal information or corporate [email protected] [email protected] or sale is made only for age limits and health. ""
So it's a museum with probably examples of a huge number of what appears to be mostly Swiss brand watches... Might be well over $1 million in value there! Where's our Italian agent to have a detailed viewing, followed by report (or his own purchase!)? Kinda looks more like a shop than a museum, though...
Seeing as they didn't specify watches, they could take out all the big value ones before they ship this beast. Also, could you imagine a return request? "Oh... not as described." The seller has to pay $5,000 in return shipping costs.
I'll bring the First growth Bordeaux... ... http://www.privatefly.com/us/private-jets/longrange-jet-hire/Gulfstream-G650
There is a catalogue of the inventory, and obviously a personal inspection prior to bidding would be sensible.
The listing is 133 Euro then there is a decimal point instead of a comma. I take it it is 133 thousand Euro's not 133 Euro's?
Decimal points are commonly use in certain areas to separate 1000s,and comma for the "decimal figure". Weird? Creates certain challenges for programmers from time to time. Reserve has not been met....
Well it won't be shipped and you can't flip them. You have to preserve it. The guy is selling because of age and health.
This is the type of thing that annoys me no small end. There are who-knows-how-many small watch shops with hidden gems—watches, accessories, and parts—that might never be shared with me. I mean, everyone. The watch folks. Forum members included. At a distance.
Kind of hard to figure out a bid without knowing exactly what he has there. Has anyone asked for a list? And is the collection staying at that location? If that is a requirement it may limit the potential buyers a bit.
