Hi guys I've just managed to buy a really good condition albatros but the watch strap is too tight!!! ARGH!
Any idea where new/old links can be bought?
The moniker is 1277/212 on the clasp.

    thanks

With a bit of patience you could probably find them on eBay or Ofrie. Maybe cousins if you are in the UK Europe.

They supply parts for old watches. Cousins is in the UK and Ofrie in the US. You have to know exactly what to order. I am sure you can contact them for advice first though

Be aware that there is a lighter "service bracelet" and that some original models came with that replacement bracelet too so you'll need to check the references of yours on the buckle, XXXX/XXX. Let us know what you have.

Mine came with a "service bracelet" and I eventually got the original "heftier" one on eBay in (more or less) NOS condition.

Yes thanks I saw this earlier. I actually bought another of these at auction and it arrived today with a lot of links in it (and fortunately a 1277/212 same as my better one) so I have stolen a link from that.
I've put the other one on the bay but I am actually wondering whether to keep it for spares.

I believe there is nothing wrong with the condition of his watch. Only his bracelet is too tight?

I was in a similar situation a couple of years ago. Basically, unless you’re extremely lucky or put in a huge amount of time searching, you’re unlikely to find a working movement at a bargain price. The only option is to buy a complete watch with a fully working (or repairable) movement, or send it back for repair at great cost.

Take your post count to 200 without post-farming, and get started here in the BST section :)

(and I think there could be better starts than hijacking someone's topic to post your WTB, but that's another discussion)

Love the Albatros! Good luck @bonerp with finding the parts :)
