Hello all,

After a long worthwhile wait, my new Airain Type 20 has made it across the Atlantic! I’ll post some pics and stay tuned for a short review in a few days. My first impressions are quite positive.

Very pretty chronograph. Congratulations!

As a once proud owner of an original Type 20 (mine was a Dodane though), I still have a soft spot for these watches, and visually this modern iteration stays true to its ancestor.

I agree.I once owned an original Airain type 20 but it was quite ratty. I would like to think that this iteration would have been a normal progression had Airain stayed in business. I really love the slightly larger case (just a tad under 40 mm, 39.5 to be exact) and a modern column wheel flyback movement. All the appointments are very close to the originals. The domed acrylic crystal gives this watch a vintage feel.

Nice! I've been watching this project, but haven't pulled the trigger on it.

How's the action on the bezel? I'm finding that I really like the versatility of a 12-hour bezel these days - easy to count up, count down, track hours elapsed, and keep track of time zones.

The bezel is fit on the watch snuggly and has a smooth action like the original I had. No looseness or clunkiest at all.
