Yes, as I noted there are different enlargement rings (movement spacers) required for the solid case back and display case back. The movement is held in place by the case back, so there has to be contact between it and something - in the solid case back models it's the inner anti-magnetic cover, that is in turn fitted to the enlargement ring.

In the display case back models, the enlargement ring is taller - that version is on the left and the one for the solid case back is on the right in this photo I took of them a few years ago:



Doing the conversion with a genuine Omega case back, without changing the enlargement ring is hack work IMO...

Thanks for all the replies. I ended up getting the Thomas Preik ones and installed them on the back of my 67 (321) and 68 (861).

Question - for those that have used the Thomas Preik display backs, were you able to use the gasket seal from the original solid back? If not, what gasket did you use? Or did you not use a gasket at all?

Hi thanks for this info. I contacted the place for a clear case back for my 105.003-63 but they didn't respond yet...

Hopefully Custom Watch Concepts responds!
