I won this piece on eBay surprisingly cheap with no effort at all. The bids are very low that simply it’s of no interest others or it is a scam? It’s just me just it’s won that cheap. I just want to know can the seller dishonour if I pay the item. I also realise the shipping is rather cheap too, considering shipping from Spain? Also the seller sent me a separate invoice rather then PayPal directly is that the practice? Thanks much.

This listing (**********) has been removed, or this item is not available. :cautious:

I think the separate invoice is a red flag. Did you receive an Ebay generated invoice?

EBay removed the item because it was a scam.

Oh dear, as I suspect but the payment link from ebay is still working and I can pay.

It's not a big ticket but I do not want the hassle and dispute if this prove to be a scam or watch is not deliver to me. I have not been buying off the bay for a long time and does buyer's protection works for me in this case? Thanks

If it is a scam, I am not clever enough to spot it by looking at that listing. I think you should pay by PayPal funded by a credit card, and either you’ll have protection if it is a scam or you just bought a nice watch for about a quarter to a third of the market price.

EDIT: See my post below, something fishy is going on....

When I open the link, it’s telling me that I missed out on it, not that it was removed.

Same here. Missed out, not removed. Proceed with caution and hope (and glee if it works out!)

I agree. You seem very well protected if the watch never comes or if it’s not as described. The seller’s photos and price struck me as suspicious, but if it’s true how he came to have it, he may not care to squeeze every Euro out of it. I wouldn’t be alarmed by the separate invoice - it just seems like a courtesy. I just bought a Lady Dynamic from Canada and the guy issued me his own invoice when he shipped it. Watch arrived with no issue.

Well, protection aside, after doing a bit more digging I think I retract my earlier advice. I use Geo Ship to search non-US eBay sites and just did a completed and sold search for ck 2998....

Same seller, same images and description, sold three times well below market price since August. Plus the seller's feedback is all from purchases since June. I still don't see the angle here, but I now strongly suspect that it would end up with a dispute, which is exactly what you were hoping to avoid. I would stay away.

You buy the seller, not the watch.

Personal Info via a serial number on a watch? Haha, by far the most laughable excuse I've heard in a long time....
