Hi Omega forum member, I’m new member of omega forum and now looking for my first vintage speedie~

Here is my thought about the Ed White I found:
Dial: Seems original one with some tritium burn mark.
Case:Seems heavily polished before.
Hand: Too nice and even, I think it is relume before.
Bezel: Decent DON90 bezel
Crown: Wrong crown?
Pusher:Not sure they are the correct one, but they look fat and short.
Case back: looks good

And here’s the photo:

Currently asking for pictures of case back and movement.
Overall I think this watch is quite good looking maybe too new looks in those photo, as a speedie newbie I’m asking advice from you guys~
Thank for looking the thread and please forgive my broken English it’s not my native language~

All depends on the price I guess...

Dial looks brown too. See if you can get some photos in the sunlight!

Crown looks correct

Hour and minute hand seems replaced

For me the areas around the hour markers with its changed color (is the dial relumed???) would be a reason to pass this one

Is it a -65??

How much is the asking price?

You will get more feedback soon I think 😉

Price drop in good section of speedmaster101 before negotiations which I think it’s quite pricey in current market~ And also it’s hard to getting more information from the seller( seem like not a friendly guy), sigh~

Pushers besides a new replacement are incorrect.

bad bad pics... please focus!...
agree with @Seaborg : the index look too perfect. But of course to be confirmed with better pics...
and the case seems also re-finished. But of course...
...or we are all wrong, and this is a really nice EWhite... ! 😲

I am not sure that is tritium burn. As @Passover stated, may suggest relume, or possible chemical stabilizer. Can ask for UV pics.
Case polishing is a problem imo as well.

So is that mean that’s a lot of no go signal? According you guys opinion that’s high chance of relumed dial and refinished case, even relumed dial is acceptable to me, it looks relumed quite badly in the photo.

The decision is your own slash, if the seller isn't helpful or reluctant and shows even the smallest sign of being less than enthusiastic to provide more information then that would ring alarm bells for me and a tick goes in the No column, before you even start thinking of the condition, because it's a possible indication of how they will behave after the transaction is finished and if you need to contact them with a problem,
if you are willing to give someone a lot of money for an item they want to sell, then it's not too much to expect the seller to meet you half way with reasonable normal questions like clearer pictures and for 1000% certain; those movement and case back photos
Unscrupulous sellers will rely on the buyer wanting to believe it's a genuine real piece, that's half the job done for them, so will avoid questions that might cause the buyer to have second thoughts and play the waiting game, the buyer will convince themselves they better buy it in case they don't see another one, or the seller is too busy to respond, the old "garage find" story is nice and romantic but a huge escape route for sellers as well to avoid questions about history of the item,
sorry i can't give you any technical info on the watch though, but be aware of whether you are convincing yourself

My first feeling was that the bevels were too big for a -65, and of course a -64 shouldn’t have any at all (do we know what iteration it is yet) but it’s hard to be definitive from a photo. There are definitely some telltale patches round the lume plots too. The 4 plot especially. I have fewer concerns over the hands.
