I am Interested in a very honest looking Seamaster 166.010? No Service history, No movement pictures but watch is fully functional,

Does anything stick out on this dial that would suggest its been messed with?

Sorry, not many pictures at this point from the seller

Thank You

I was just wondering about the question mark... 馃槈

Dial looks good, original crown I think, a nice BOR, you should take a closer look at it 馃榾

Thank You, Yes trying to get some more high res pictures. I doubt the seller is willing to take the caseback off for a movement pic though

The seller would like $450 but there is probably a little room in that, I figured if i could get it for $400 and put it in for a service i should be clear for around $600

Price sounds reasonable, BOR alone (if genuine and complete) would be at around 150USD...

Fair price I like to play safe and buy from trusted sellers on here but at least try to get a movement pic so the wiser members here can give you some solid info. Probably figure you will need a service soon with no known history. Id wear it till it starts slowing down or power reserve doesn't last like it should, do not wait till it stops as that could be bad. Preventative maintenance is key!

I would love to buy one of these from OF from a private seller or even a trusted dealer, These don't pop up very often and when they do normally carry quite the premium, That being said i would gladly pay more for a documented clean example.

For $ 400 I would take a gamble without movement pic (if seller cant give one)...

Or ask the seller to pull the crown to position 2 and ask if the date changes... or was it pull it, push it? 馃榿

I was thinking the same, But i wouldn't go much higher than that.
The BOR and case have 60 years of honest scratches too. I don't think its ever seen a polisher

Agree with @Shabbaz - unless the seller knows how to play with watches, they won鈥檛 have to tools or knowledge to remove the back. And I wouldn鈥檛 want a novice removing the back anyway!
The bracelet should have the omega stamp and reference number, endlinks on the bracelet should have 511 or 512 on them. Back should have the Sea horse.
If all the above check out and it鈥檚 running, $450 is a great price. Even with $350ish into a service on top you see ahead of the curve on a 166.010z

Unless it's a 562...
Oh boy- didn鈥檛 think about that. The 14xxx series. Even at $450 he would be doing ok.

Hi
Certainly looks nice and original and as stated the price is good especially on the BOR. there looks like there鈥檚 a scratch above the five marker towards the centre, I would certainly want to validate that it is on the glass(and can be polished out) and not on the dial. Can鈥檛 comment on the crown without a side shot, but it shouldn鈥檛 be too much of an issue to replace during the service if it isn鈥檛 original.
Best of luck
Chris
