Friend of mine has kindly offered me a couple of nice pieces due to thinning out his Collection.
Just after people’s thoughts on it, any issues? Any way of knowing if it’s the right Pepsi insert and not been added at a later date? Thanks in advance.

 

That's an awfully fresh looking bezel for a piece that's old enough to have Tritium, lug spring bar holes, and a jubilee bracelet (over 20 yrs I'd say), but if the price is right I don't that I'd let that stop me. Lot's of people swap Rolex bezels from Black to Coke to Pepsi and back. if it's the wrong bezel then find the right one someday.

Strong Buy on this one!!..the 16710 madness is just getting started!! On the subject of the Pepsi bezel, do you have the original warranty / serial paperwork? The model nr will have a letter next to it which denotes the bezel that it originally shipped with, I believe ‘R’ would indicate a factory Pepsi bezel....

 

All good IMO. Insert is not an issue even if it's a fresher one, it's correct. You can source (for a price) a nicely faded, period correct insert. Looks very solid. Great bracelet. Serial should be 'E' or 'L' serial.

Nice case. Insert could be original if you look @ the relative condition of the bracelet (assuming that's original). Pretty tight looking Jubilee....sounds like the price is good too. Hard one to pass if you're looking for a good 16710.

 

I’d say buy, good price too. Get at some point an oyster bracelet to swap from time to time. Looks like truly excellent condition.

I have a 16710 and love it and it is not hard to swap bezel inserts either.

I suspect the bezel is a replacement, but no issues with it at all.
