I have been searching all over the web to find differences between the models mentioned in the title but could not really find nothing. I even downloaded photos of the two models and still could not understand what’s the difference. Omega official site also does not include no information on this watch except of a totally different reference 5203???😕 🤦

If anyone has any info or experience on this omega line I would appreciate any help or info about their history and the differences of the models ...

It's weird as Omega shows it on their database as a Ref.1660310. Maybe just a difference in the package offered. All the casebacks of Omega Dynamic III with a Cal.1108 had Ref.1660310 marked on it.
I just got mine and I really like it.🥰

PIC 5200 is for the watch with steel bracelet.

PIC 5250 is for the watch with strap.

Yes, 166.0310 is the reference number. 5200 etc is the PIC (Part Identification Code?).

I'll have a look around.

I guess you are right . Your vintage add above proves that. Internet is really messy . I got all the PICs with bracelet. I also mine is supposed to be 5200 but its on leather. I guess there is no way to find out the PIC of you only have the watch, or is there?

May I ask which book is this?

You certainly may.

Title - Omega - A Journey Through Time.

Author - Marco Richon, Curator of the Omega Museum, Bienne, Switzerland.

Content - 832 pages and 6,625 illustrations (70 per cent of which are in four-colour printing and most of which are being published for the first time), this is one of the most comprehensive works ever published about a watch brand.
Devoted entirely to the evolution of its models, from the late nineteenth century to the present day, it is brought to life with reproductions of numerous advertisements that echo the watches shown and lend them the colour, feel and flavour of their time.
The book is mainly intended for collectors, who will undoubtedly find in it their preferred models.
Prefaced by Nicolas G. Hayek and written and designed by Marco Richon, curator of the Omega Museum, it is organised like a “structured catalogue”, divided into twelve chapters, preceded by a brief history of the company and followed by a complete list of calibres.

There were other dial variations seen for the Gen 3, particularly in the Japanese market but in the ROW the main differences seen in the Dynamic 3 is in the transition from tritium lume to SL. This model was produced circa 1997-98 so straddled the lume change over. Both types can be seen in the pics above, the beige examples are tritium, the whiter plot examples SL. I have an SL one, I love it.

Was there a targa 3 hander? Only a chrono I thought but yes it’s another flavour of course. My experience with the Chrono wasn’t as happy. It put me off compound movements for life, my happy thoughts reside with the 3 hander.

Sounds really great and worth acquiring... I might be saving some money to buy it soon.. 😀

Many thanks for the information provided above by JimInOz. I’ve always wondered why my example has quite orange lume, but virtually every other picture I have seen the Arabic’s look off white (well more yellow). I realise this thread is a bit old but does anyone know what bracelet this model came with? More specifically what are my chances of buying one somewhere. I assume it’s no longer available from Omega?

Bracelet is 020ST1570870, and is still available from Omega.
