http://www.ebay.com/itm/OMEGA-SEAMA...116?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_2&hash=item3aacc47fe4Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network

Saw this and hadn't ever seen one before, wasn't even sure if it were original at first until it turned out its actually a real reference, with the same metallic electric blue dial colour as the Seamaster Pro 300M with sword hands, but with a square waffle dial pattern similar to @kyle L's vintage Seamaster.

The pictures aren't amazing but here's another shot of the same model with a better look at the dial:

Still no idea what the reference is but damn that's a pretty dial in that colour and pattern!

What reference is this? Looks like a franken with a Dynamic case...

That was my first reaction too but apparently it was a Japanese market LE, there's a black dial version too along with a half dozen other rare Japanese Dynamic versions

    This one's almost a pseudo-military version, Ref is 5202.51

Some more pics of the electric blue version:

Its almost an evolutionary stepping stone to this electric blue Seamaster 120M

@kyle L Here's the black dial, almost the same as your Seamaster, found the reference, its 5203.51, not sure on the blue dial version's reference yet though

Omega Nipple Dynamic Ref # 5203.80 - interesting in that it has applied dial indices prior to the Seamaster getting them

Yep - .5x means a black dial, .8x means a blue dial, and .3x means silver (or white?).

5203.350 is the last reference, no idea where I can even find that one, its odd in that its a 3 digit second block not a two digit, but Omega lists it as a valid reference on their bracelets and end links.

Always amazes me that there's so much out there I've never even head of after all this time. That and nearly all of these were impossible to find without going through Japanese websites, and even then only 1-3 watches could be found of each example.

I've seen these before and they are all kosher, a guy on eBay UK was trying to sell these models for months. He was starting them at £500 but they took a while to sell.

Interesting. Japan is a big enough market for a number of watch brands that there are unique references made only for them. I guess the 2004 Speedmaster Racing is another such example of a watch unique to only that country.

The Speedmasters limited to Japan is a huge list as there's also the Mitsukoshi panda dial and at least a dozen reduced, MK40 and Date models alone.

Then there are other rarities like the ridiculously cool 18K solid gold perpetual calendar moon phase calendar that @Shem has and the gorgeous 18K Golden Panda @Kringkily has:

There's probably even more cool stuff over there none of us have even seen before, amazes me every time new cool stuff pops up like that.

Nice to know that if an entire country is watch crazy, you will get unique references on demand [emoji12].

Pretty sure I have also. I've spent way too much time there.

But not that blue waffle. Would have snapped that one up for sure.
