if you are patient, and lucky, you can likely get one in very good condition for around $700.
700 sounds like a lot. I’d say you can find good ones for around $500, unless I missed something.

I wanted to follow up on my post from before. My find came sooner than expected. Taking your advice on bezel condition while being conscious of a polished case...I was taken by the charm of this watch. Although the dial has aged with a lot of patina I like the unique look. I appreciate all of your advice please. ($280)
Not an expert on these but IMHO it looks spectacular.

At first glance, it looks like a bargain.

For $280, you did fine. If it’s running, even better. The patina on the dial is incredibly even- I wouldn’t touch it. I am not a fan of when they get this yellow, but I can appreciate how even and attractive it is. A service and polished crsytal will make it pop and be a daily runner. The bracelet looks aftermarket- would need to see the clasp to know. These look equally good on leather or a NATO strap.

For a black one in good shape with a recent service on leather, $500 would be about right. For a white one on the factory rivet stretch bracelet like the one I showed earlier- those are going over $700 these days...and are climbing fast. The word is out on these.

My 70-72 was $470 on the Bay. I think now I would actually prefer the non- date version ; but still a vintage Seawolf in decent shape is a nice watch to have in ones collection at a relatively inexpensive price point.
