    Hi Folks,

As a new member to this forum (and watch collecting) could I ask for your advice on the purchase of a mid-size seamaster prof. I've copied 2 links below - one is listed for $2,400 at an auction house (Harrington and Co) in Brisbane and the 2nd is through watchvaultnyc at $1,800 USD, which equates to roughly the same with current x-rates and GST.

They both look in reasonable condition, although after comparing the Brisbane listed watch to others on various websites/forums some parts look old to the untrained eye. Is $2,400 a reasonable price for a mid-90 sea master? Any concerns with the 2 suppliers?

    Many thanks

Of the two, (and without even opening the links), the Brisbane mob wouldn't be my first choice.

They used to be good and had some nice watches at reasonable prices. They seem to have got the inflation disease lately though.
