Hello to all OF members :O)

I am looking at these 3 watches (sorry for the bad pics but that's what I have right now). I would like to know which one you would choose if you have the chance. Also if you see something wrong in any of them as I have zero knowledge on vintage chronographs.
thanks again,
David

The Eterna is either a redial or from a different era than the forties. Possibly both 😀

Do you have any more information? Are the cases all stainless? Sizes? Movements?
And yes ... better photos would really be helpful. I hesitate to say much.

Giving that all are SS and dials are original (which is impossible to assess without better pics), my choice would be the Angelus.
Whatsoever, is that lume on the indices of the Angelus? If so, hands are wrong.

Looking at the three, the similarities in look (bright, slivered dials without any aging) combined with the knowledge that one of them is redialed, would make me disregard them all. I think all three has been tampered with to some extent.

So far is all the info that I have, I think all 3 are stainless steel. I’ll try to go and see the watches myself so I can do better pics , the seller is quite old and don’t have patience for making pics . I said 40’s as I thought they were from that age.
I’ll keep you posted . If any of you have same watch please share pics so I can compare .
Even do I will do research online
Thanks

The pics doesn’t help at all and the flash either

I think the Angelus is far more collectible than the other two. They made their own movements while Eterna and Tavannes did not.

The dial on the Angelus looks correct to me, but I really don't have a lot of experience with them. Here is a vintage advertisement I found on the web.

Good reference material at that site.

The Eterna dial layout looks like the movement could be a Valjoux cal. 72 or similar. Very good movement. Not sure about the dial on that one. No clue on the Tavannes at all. We would need to see under the hood of that one as well.

It all comes down to price vs. perceived value.

Hello...Eterna and Tavannes, are redials, so for me is a big No,....Angelus has a beautiful and original dial, but you need to look the case inside and the movement,if the watch is correct and price is fair for me Angelus are always beautiful watches to add to a collection.

As others have pointed out, the Eterna is undoubtedly a re-dial, there's no need for better photos on that one. There is absolutely no reason that the Eterna-matic logo would be on a manual-winding chronograph. Just a silly dial.

But then again, just last night I saw a dial claiming to be a Rolex Datejust with no date window. 🤨

I meant the hour numbers. These are either lumed or filled in gold/silver color.

Thanks a lot Gatorcpa, great inputs. I’ll do my best to get proper pics, the seller is an old guy and just wants to deal face to face

What do you mean when you said to look at the case inside and the movement? Should the reference number of the watch be on the caliber and inside the case back ? Or just to see if the case has angelus engraving and also the caliber ? Thanks

I think the issue previously raised by @Oku about the lume on the dial, but not the hands, is a concern. The hands are apparently not original.
