Hi All,

I’ve found this Speedmaster 145122-69ST and before I take the plunge I thought I’d reach out to the omega community and see if anyone can talk me out of buying it. Everything seems to match up from my research but I’m no expert. The dial is very nice, hands are okay, bezel has some dings. The serial number 305XXXXXX seems to match the case number. Here are the pictures.

Thanks,

Factoring in a service, you'll be in it for the low $6k USD. Doesn't seem too bad to me, I've seen a helluva lot worst than that deal.

Hi there!
Have tried to see if there is an Omega logo on the crystal?
Any service/owner history?

And take a look at this lovely website (you might have already been there...):
https://speedmaster101.com

Do you have more pictures?
Showing the sides and the caseback?

It’s a buyers market at the minute. Price isn’t terrible but I’d try and get it for 5k.

I have exactly the same watch, 30.58 serial, including the 1116/575 bracelet, bezel etc, so seems original/legit, and all is as stated about the final price... I love how it is aged, exactly as mine, except the bezel, mine is more dinged.

Nice watch with the original 1116/575 band.
The crystals seems to be a later specimen though.
All in all, needs some tlc, but 5600.- USD is a good price for the watch IMHO.

Cheers

To me it looks like there is a lot of black retouching on the bezel. If it is done with a Sharpie, expect it to fade in a year or so.

Well spotted- I see area several areas below 400 and 350, what other areas do you have concern about?

To the left of 60 it looks like a couple of spots of retouching. Between 80 and 70 the black looks very mottled and something is going on there maybe a mix of polishing and retouching. To the right of 120 it also looks like retouched damage. There is a lot more so just look carefully. I don't mind it, just factor it into your final price. For me it would also be a challenge to do it better than what was done previously, but that's just me.

Bit of up and down. I had seen the watch on Saturday and knew the shop was closed Sunday. But it’s also closed Monday and Tuesday and my flight out of Hong Kong was scheduled for Tuesday afternoon. So I thought I wasn’t going to have much in the way of a watch tale to share. Anyway I was able to get in touch with Mr Fung at Berne Horology and he agreed to come in on his day off. An hour before the taxi pickup we exchanged greetings, funds, and a nice speedy. If you’re wondering I met his price. I figured I’d save on shipping and insurance. Anyway thanks to the group for your input.
