On pin holes, i was made to understand that there are pieces out there without and the lumes are original. Is it really carved in stone that dials without are relume? Experts?

That is my understanding also and I have been told by more than one source that is the case

The holes are physically on the dial and some dial (maybe first series) have no holes.

This theory sounds about right, here’s another shot of my -64, no pin holes visible.

This theory is documented, and your example is a proof. What is totally missing is the scope of the pin holes..
