Greetings. First time posting. I am really interested in buying a Omega as my first real watch. I would like to find a vintage chronograph, but I think this might not be possible, as I would not be able to spend more than $1000. Am I kidding myself thinking this might be possible? And if not, any advice for another entry-level type of Omega?

Hmmm... Maybe a chronostop or a not so old Omega Dynamic chronograph, but $1000 would really be stretching it.

Funny, an old Dyanmic is the one I want most of all.

My first Omega was purchased this year for $640. A Pre-Bond Seamester Professional 200m in two tone. The condition was excellent. There are many on eBay at that price point in fine condition. This is an undervalued piece and at a $1000 limit you can have it properly serviced and looking brand spanking new.

If you already have your heart to 1 or 2 models, be consistent and be patience. If you like dressier chronograph the 90's Deville prestige chronograph is also interesting

    Can't beat a Dynamic chronograph.

Still under appreciated and under valued IMHO.
