Just so you don't think I am completely garish, below is my main 'smart' / work watch, suppose I am trying to find something a little different / in the middle as I love these watches and wouldn't change them for another ……………… something different would be nice to have though, which is why I started looking at 'vintage' before then scaring myself by how little I knew about the subject matter !!!

Same dilemma this past summer weighing the choice of a pre-owned SM 300 Master Co-Axial, SM 60th Anniversary, or a SM 300 Watchco type. I had a Watchco type No date SM300 built a couple of years ago and sold it for needed family funds. Regret is to strong a word, but I chose to get another No date Watchco type SM 300 as I really love the style and the vintage aspect of the movement.

Swapped my Watchco SM300 date for a Montblanc Nicolas Rieussec. We both sellers sent our watches to the respective service centres and on return I paid for the Montblanc service and he for the Omega service. What's good enough for Omega (and Montblanc) was good enough for us.
I learnt my lesson, on everything being correct and accurate for a particular watch, the hard way. In the early days of collecting bought a Flightmaster 910 from a seller who was anal about not touching anything. After some use the crown and stem fell out followed by 2 pushers. Ended paying over US$1,000 for service as quite a bit of stuff was worn out in the movement as well.
Now, as long as Omega services and clears my vintages as authentic, Watchco or otherwise, I am fine.
