    Hi!
    apart from the condition of the dial and the owner's love for glue, is it really an Admiral or is it a Conquest Power Reserve dial?

    ::facepalm2::

    The Conquest Power Reserve has a separate disc in the center that spins to indicate the amount of power left. It runs from 0 to 45, as in hours.

    This Admiral dial has the minutes / seconds displayed numerically from 10 - 60. The center is NOT a separate spinning disc.

    it shows that liberal amounts of crazy glue (or is it bathroom silicone?) DO have a place in watchmaking ...

    Makes me wonder if the seller is blind or likes to "stretch the truth" or both:

    From the eBay description (BOLD is mine) -

    • LONGINES ADMIRAL
    • rare vintah MOVEMENT and dial
    • all original LONGINES no after markt or redone
    • 30mm mm in diameter
    • CAL # 505look like in working condition
    • used RARE gold dial in good condition
    • hes some hairline but nice for its age

    Oh, and it's a quartz movement
