Going to add a Quartz to the mix. I understand the stigma that some have for the quartz but I want one pick up and wear, ready to go that is accurate.
6.5" wrist. So could probably go mid size.
Current Autos are 3523.30 Speedmaster I wear mainly for work. My father's silver Geneva.

    So what's your favourite Quartz.

    Cheers.

    Favorite quartz is a G-Shock.

For Omega, definitely the Skywalker X-33.

I always liked the seamaster 2541.80 from Goldeneye. It was the first time I actually paid attention to a watch in a movie.

    Sport/Dress: Seamaster 2542.20

Sport: Cannot argue with X-33 Skywalker...but on a budget, 1st or 2nd Gen works also.

I like my MegaQuartz 32. It's vintage and keeps great time.

ETA: Derp, this is in the Modern forum. Well, have you considered vintage? :D

It certainly looks quite different. Going to have to look at the different generations. I think I remember that gen 2 was a minor upgrade. Wonder if I can get to see in person?

X33 or a Citizen as it never needs a battery and sets itself....

The MegaQuartzes are right on the cusp, I'd say.

The f300s keep great time, too, and there are some lovely examples in the FS forum, such as this one.

GS has 9F series of quality quartz watches. Their finish is at par with the best in world. This watch has a service period of 50 years!

For vintage, F300 (or other hummer) are a great half way house between auto and quartz. Proper quirky mechanical movement but mesmerising fully smooth second hand sweep and great time keeping. Deffo vintage since the Omega ones are all early 70s and the Accutron ones go back as far as 1960. Also incredibly cheap to service here in the UK at least where there are 2 specialists. Here are a few to ponder:

But if you want modern but quirky:

This is the silver dial Omegamatic, a brief late 90s experiment with a Kinetic type hybrid movement, 36mm though so a little small for modern tastes. Black dial one looks better still.

This is the late 90s SM120m multifunction, wears pretty well at 38mm and has a precursor to the X-33 movement. Looks amazing in the flesh.

Quirky as in unreliable or something else?
