Hi guys. my dad found this watch that he has for years. who knows how old. but i could not identify it with it's long string of model number or what not at the back. but it seems authentic. would like to know how old is this watch and any info.

Thanks Standy - for letting me in on this!

Indeed I have the entire collection. It has been my quest to get them all and it has taken many years and now when finally having them all my watch collecting and I dare to say entire life has reached its peak. Actually I am suffering a wee bit from grail emptiness - having dark thoughts and struggling to cope with reaching such an important goal this early in life. What is next!?

To the question in question - I find this site to be the most comprehensive source for information about these watches;
https://disneyparks.disney.go.com/b...he-time-mickey-mouse-watches-at-disney-parks/

And that is all I am sharing - as do not want too much competition when searching the world for these gems (there are still some limited editions I am looking for - among them the elusive helium filled DDD - the Donald Duck Divers)

Hi @styggpyggeno1 @STANDY
Thanks for the help and information. But after reading, most watches that are made by Disney normally would have a partner brand, meaning it's made by timax or Invicta, rolex and so on. But for this watch there don't seem to be any collaborating brands with Walt Disney. Does this mean the watch is by Disney itself?

it would have been made to spec. I’d love to see the bearing on the counterweight....

The back of the watch ? Where the system are?

Edit: currently outside. See if I can get a close up photo without tearing the sticker off.

@Foo2rama here
We also realized this watch is a hand cranked watch and automatic. Is it even possible? Like a wind up toy.
Common that automatics can also be hand wound. In fact it’s the exception to the rule when they cannot be, only really some Seikos cannot be hand wound.

Some of the earliest automatic wristwatches could not be wound by a crown, because they did not have one.

The Harwood, for example.

The hands are set by the bezel, which does not wind the watch at all.

Later automatics had crowns but would make them invisible. After all, why would you need them if you wore it forever? 😀

Ah I see. So it's common. But I can't find it and dad is kinda asking a value of the watch. Any ideas?

For a price you will have to search the eBay link for one similar.

Your not going to strike it rich, I would have a guess at $50-100 if lucky

Problem being there is so many watches released over the years.
