Congrats on the confirmation about the dial.

But please, even if you plan to use it during the summer, that watch deserves a leather strap. Have you tried the Aero Confort Straps by ZRC?

I use them with my dress watches during the summer. They are pretty affordable, good looking, well finished and thanks to the perforated inner layer of the strap it breaths and wears comfortably.

NATO straps have a nasty habit of scratching/etching the back of the watch. Even on my stainless ones there are some marks. I would hate to think what one will do to gold, and very quickly.

 

Or it could be just refinished. When the factory does these, they do it correctly since brands like AP, VC, and PP still have the originals dies.
