Well…

Sometimes you get lucky?
😁

Could have been a Speedy 2915....

Anyway...

I was cleaning up some boxes this weekend up in the attic,
and I found this one chucked in with some teddybears and toys!

It happened to be my youngest daughters old watch, and I had totaly forgotten about it.
So I went to my dear watchmaker, who put in a new batteri, and boom - it fired up!

Not sure how old the watch is, but it should be a 90:s-20:s?

Anyway - always fun to have ”a new watch”!!

Not a big fan of digiies myself, only have one that was dads and wear it on his birthday, but that looks to be in pretty good condition, they’re usually fairly knocked about.

Classic. In Amsterdam the hip youngsters wear these.

in New York too. Sometimes I try to blend in with them...

I remember when these digital stop watches came out in the mid-70's, the first one I saw was a Seiko and its price was around $250. They seemed a fantastic invention at the time, just like the $400 H-P 35 scientific pocket calculator was in the same timeframe. Today we take these sorts of products for granted, but the first ones that hit the market 50 years ago were perceived as amazing.

Indeed there were even digi watches that had calculator complications included, Lesley has one such device lurking about the house somewhere

Yeah....the watch makes me feel 30-years younger!
I might grow a monster huge beard, get a man bag, and start a microbrewery?

🤦

I’ve got the huge beard, the only man bag I have is in my pants, but I’d be more likely to start a distillery…..2 outta 3
