Guys, I know there is a thread out there but I couldn't manage to find it again...it was about internal References on the Papers instead of the Serial of the watch. Background is: I got offered a Speedy 145022-71 with Papers, all looks fine but there is that irritating Number 8126 or 8124 (if so, then US Market where it was sold) instead of the Serial. Does anyone have a clue about these internal Numbers? Thanks in advance Ralf
Hey Ralf! Would it be possible to have it opened and check the serial? Hand written papers... not always useful! Chris
yeah, I'm aware of that. Saw the inside & serial, it's in Range with 322x. and I wouldn't be bothered with the papers even if they just somehow just "met" the watch, but I do remember the discussion here about these internal numbers appearing on papers.
Not much help but could it be a catalogue reference number? Seem to remember seeing. catalogue page photos where watches have 4/5 digit numbers against them rather than the known numbers we all refer to Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Absolutely and I was dealing with exctly that the last couple of hours but couldn't find a 70ties US Catalog or Ad until now. Old-omegas.com unfortunately has only other Countries available, so I couldn't figure it out yet..I'll take a Lunchbreak now
thanks! 6126..that's pretty close to what looks like 8126 Maybe they changed it between '71 and '74, but not very likely. I might need to adjust to the fact that I won't find out..
That was from catalogue on old-omegas.com Must have been searching at same time ;-) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
