Hello!
I have finally started putting some time towards a photography project I have been kicking around - I have always loved any photography with space fairing gloves & Speedmasters so I thought I would try my hand at some.

I started looking for some available 3D glove models to use for a composite shot and happened to find an amazing scan of Neil Armstrong's glove on the Smithsonian archive. I rigged it with some bones so I could manipulate the fingers and pose the glove. Previsualized the angle of the speedmaster with a 3D watch in situation and then matched my watch in-camera.

I am waiting on getting my 105.012 back and will reshoot it so I can have a proper subject for the shot... but couldn't help but put one of my other Speedmasters into the shot as a stand in. I am planning to do a few different Poses/angles over the next month or so and will make some prints.

Really looking forward to using the the telemeter bezel in the next lighting storm I find myself in 😀

Enjoy!

Well, in 1960-1961, the Speedmaster became avaialble with either:
Tachymètre bezel
Pulsometer bezel
Decimal bezel
Telemeter bezel (Miles)
Telemeter bezel (Kilometers)
...
But the NASA astronauts really wanted a "60 seconds" bezel !

I do love the idea of a telemeter bezel in space - Thank you. It reminds me of sci-fi shows from the 70s where the "pilots" of spacecraft would say "flaps down" as they land on a carrier style mother-ship.
