Seems in good original shape...Comes on nato strap only..In the window for £3000..Could get for £2800... A bit expensive for an 861 ref 145.0022 (I think) or should I get before ALL speedy moon watches get unafordable? Pics tomorrow hopefully!
It will all depend on the details, but even a very nice 74 could be had on ebay for 3000 to 3500 usd. I've bought a few 78 models recently for 2500 ish usd in great shape. Some had original bracelets. My husband teases me about buying these more recent Speedmasters, but the older watches are more than I allow myself to spend, generally. Check sold watches on ebay for market prices on the 74.

I am quite sure no 80s Speedmaster "moon" is worth 4k gbp. But we can all ask any price we want for anything, right?
You're unlikely to get too good a deal in a real pawn brokers (where the owners / managers know what they're buying). Occasionally you can do well in those big chain pawn shops like Cash Converters where they hire kids with McDonalds drive thru level experience to do the buying and selling but a wily old Pawnbroker in a family shop is likely to know exactly what they have. Also a '74 isn't really special or worth a premium over any other Moonwatch, especially if it has a 145.0022 case (replacement case).
@tempusfugit861 Unfortunately prices here in the UK nearly always seem higher then in the US and if anyone from the UK buys those from E-Bay and they import them into the UK they will be hit with 20%vat on the selling and shipping price even worse if they use E-Bay global shipping which will push the price even higher.
