Hi, all. Well, I got the itch again, and this time I have my sights set on a Seamaster with the lovely "beads of rice" bracelet that so wonderfully accompanies it. The only problem is the dial, I think. I've been staring at it, trying to figure out if it is just the camera angle or some odd delusion of mine, but the Omega symbol does not seem to hover perfectly over the "E" in the "OMEGA" lettering as most do. Please let me know what you all think. Thanks again, C http://www.ebay.com/itm/292051300809?_trksid=p2060353.m1431.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:ITPurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
The absolute centre of "OMEGA" is not the middle of the "E", it's due to font kerning. I just checked 10 of my Omegas, none of them have the "E" centrally below the symbol. That dial looks fine to me.
Thanks for the help, fellas. And, Jim. That is a good point. Thank you for the clarification and assistance. C
I have a centered one, has not been redone. Not near a camera but I will post. But I would not second-guess this one.
Here is another one. My camera won't sync today and I can't get a new picture. Looking at this under magnification I've changed my mind it's probably been redone, but I can't tell with my naked eye. There are grooves in the seconds track that look like they've been painted over. Under magnification you also sometimes see cracking and bleeding which make it hard to tell.
